So I’ve been busy creating my new personal development site, ChangeYourLifeAtWill.com, and I realized that writing the content for the site is taking WAY longer than expected. So long, in fact, that it’s delaying me doing some more pressing issues that need to be taken care of.

I need to setup a new campaign for the Reverse Funnel System, and take care of my optin page and autoresponder messages. I figured its more important to monetize your CURRENT websites rather than spreading yourself too thin and trying to market everything under the sun.

RFS is doing great, and the best part – it’s automated… So it’s giving me some more free time to, well, get distracted with other crap! If you’re in mlm and you’re marketing a high ticket item, trust me, just keep doing what you’re doing! I was literally going to throw away $10K by not staying on track w/ my RFS goals and instead make $2K in other commissions (affiliate and other sales)… Make the MAIN GOAL the MAIN GOAL! Make sense? Hope this helps.

It takes more than talent to win the biggest game of the year…

Living in NY and following the Giants through out the season (their training camp is even in Albany ) I got to see the events unfold 1 week at a time…

The REAL reason the Giants won isn’t just because they decided to pull together and work as a team… it wasn’t just their talent or a little luck…

Like Strahan said in the post-game, it’s all about confidence… <———

The week that the team stopped talking about how it was this persons fault or that person’s… if Coughlin was a good enough coach, and if Eli had a leadership problem…

The moment that they began to UPLIFT and ENCOURAGE each other is the REAL moment they became Champions… When they began to SPEAK the right words… THAT is when things started to come together…

They fed off of each other’s enthusiasm and confidence, and that confidence carried them through the biggest games of their lives…

REMEMBER TO UPLIFT AND ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER!

IT DOESN’T MATTER IF IT’S IN SPORTS, IN BUSINESS, IN RELATIONSHIPS!!

YOU CAN CREATE THAT MOMENTUM OF POSITIVITY IN YOUR OWN LIFE BY ENCOURAGING OTHERS!

DON’T FORGET TO PAY IT FORWARD!!!

So, I’ve been brainstorming an idea to make another site… I’m not going to give you the details, but I will be posting some self-help, motivational, and inspirational stories and opinions on it… Here’s the first video…

When you put videos on your website you are must more personable with your prospective clients and business partners… You’re telling them with your own words and (even more importantly) “face-to-face”… and this helps you build a relationship and build trust with them that much quicker…One of the drawbacks to “old school” network marketing is the fact that you need to spend ALOT of 1-on-1 time with your prospects and partners… this limits how many people you can truly help in a day… Even motivational CDs and seminar mp3s will only go so far. When you have a site with VIDEO training (additional mp3/audio is helpful as well) you are SHOWING them what to do… not TELLING them what to do…

Now, yes, the above video is more ‘motivational’ than ‘instructional’.. you will need BOTH… but your business MULTIPLIES when people in your group are also learning what to do and applying it as fast as possible…

Are you still attending training seminars that go over the same crap that you heard the month before and the month before that? Are they STILL going over ‘the basics’? And the funny thing is… chances are ‘the basics’ are the same methods that they taught 20 years ago that just DON’T APPLY ANYMORE!

Seriously, if you want to learn some REAL… PROVEN… and CUTTING-EDGE methods to grow your business… check out www.Explode-My-Business.com…

I created over 250 leads my first month using these modern techniques… If you had to meet people in the mall and at the local bookstores, how long would that take you? 6 months? A year? And then you’ve got to call them up, book appointments, show presentations, schedule and meetup AGAIN for a follow up, build a list, make more calls… blah blah blah…

Those 250 leads went to one of my sites… they got info, and some took the next step… and some didn’t… Some people got started, and some didn’t… just like in your business… The beauty of it is this… I didn’t even SPEAK to them until they showed interest… Do you know what’s so priceless about that?! I didn’t deal with any face-to-face rejection… I didn’t get walked all over, I didn’t get ‘no-showed’, and I didn’t have to deal with some negative moron at a meeting… Thank God I learned these techniques…

I recently added a new FREE 7 day training that you can sign up for on my main page. This is NOT the same as my Explode My Business Free 7 Day Boot Camp Training… The ‘EMB’ training is marketing-based (driving traffic, autoresponders, etc) and the Home Based Business training is a little more broad…

Meaning, it’s more of a ‘how to get started working from home’ handbook… (not to be replaced with my new ebook…)

I needed to blog about this new training because it is NOT for the faint of heart… If you want some inspirational, “put-a-smile-on-my-face”, snuggly, sugar-coated newsletter… this is NOT it… If you want that, I’ll be starting on the ChangeYourLifeAtWill.com site soon which is more ’self-help’ based…

No, this training is in-your-face, brutal, and honest…

Most mlm companies have sales pages with promises of riches and financial freedom… and they’re there for a reason: to draw the emotional reaction out of the prospect… You need to be drawn emotionally (at some level) to an opportunity regards of sales stats, company history, and who is endorsing the products/program…

The problem is many people think they’re going to strike it rich and make $50K their first month… And I make it totally up front in this training exactly what kind of work is expected, and the fact that if you’re new to ANY opportunity you’re going to deal with a learning curve…

You just need the right mentor to catapult you past that curve faster…

I just can’t believe the Giants beat the Cowboys yesterday… I try not to blog about too much other than business, so I’ll get to the point in a minute.

The Giants this season haven’t been the dominant force of the NFC, but they sure have been persistent. And it’s that persistence that’s landed them in the NFC Championship… The entire season, Giants and critics alike have never really considered the Giants a Superbowl contender. Eli Manning came under criticism from teammates and others about his lack of leadership, but his decent performance in yesterday’s game still got them a win…

It’s this same persistence we have to have as entrepreneurs… We will take criticism, we’ll have failure, and we’ll work our butts off and still might come up short in the end… But it is the persistence and consistence that will ultimately bring us across the finish line…

Go Giants! And I can’t wait until next week against the Packers!! It’ll be a great game…

I used to be a lazy s-o-b. Uber-lazy. Until I finally realized that I needed to make some serious changes in my life, or things would just keep going the same way they were all the years before… I realized that I needed to discipline myself. I needed to be thinking and, more importantly, I needed to be aware that I was thinking.

What does that mean? Well, there are very few things in this world that you can control, but one of them is your thoughts. If something bad happens to you, and you get pissed off… you need to realize that your temper temporarily controlled you… your thought process was NOT in control. If something bad happens to you, and you recognize you have a CHOICE to how you respond… then you are aware of your thoughts. And you can control what you say and do.

If you want to control your bank account, family life, career, and your entire future… you must first take control of your own thoughts. Stay positive and enthusiastic, and start working diligently towards your goals.

I was rereading The Magic of Thinking Big recently. If you are a business owner, salesperson, or aspiring executive and haven’t read this book, go get a copy asap.

There’s a chapter about overcoming fear by taking action. The quote is, “Action cures fear.” How true it is, as long as it’s the right action.

If you’re afraid of swimming, I don’t think the answer is to just jump in the deep end and ‘figure it out.’ It’s easier to walk in the shallow end of an in-ground pool, down the steps, and with the help of a trusted friend. Notice I did say trusted. If you have the same friends I do you probably can thing of one or two that would just mess with you and in the process multiply our fears.

Another plus is having the knowledge behind action. Let me explain. You’re afraid of a certain type of bug, but after researching about it you find that the type of bug you were seeing is totally harmless. Now, you probably won’t start trying to find them and collect them as pets, but you won’t run away in fear either.

I used to be very fearful of bees when I was younger. I think it was probably because I was young when the movie My Girl came out, where one of the characters dies due to his allergic reaction to tons of bee stings. Nonetheless, when a bee was near I was running in the other direction swatting my arms and screaming like a sissy. Then someone told me the fact that if a bee stings you, it later dies. I thought of the trade-off. I hurt for a little bit, and that sucker dies! Ha! Bring em on! I just didn’t care anymore, because I knew if I got stung the bee would be worse off.

This is probably an outrageous example, but you get my point. Knowledge is power. Action cures fear. The right knowledge can multiply the effectiveness of the action.

When you hear the good ol’ saying, “Attitude is Altitude” or “Attitude is Everything” or any of those clichés, do you really take them seriously? I sure didn’t. Just saying some phrase you’ve heard from some guru didn’t lend me any insight into where my attitude was at.

What made the difference to me was when I realized that I needed to be aware of my attitude at all times. When I got a flat tire, when I pulled a muscle, when I spilled a drink, when anything didn’t go the way I wanted it to… I would throw a temper-tantrum just like a little kid. Maybe not out in the open, maybe not physically, but my brain would speak to me in that childish tone. I would whine to myself, driving my blood pressure up, creating unneeded stress and anxiety, saying “Woe is me!”

Now, when obstacles come in my way it becomes easy to maintain a good attitude. Why? Two reasons: 1.) because I am aware of my thoughts and have complete control over them, and 2.)

I’ve written a lot of blogs about having the right attitude, overcoming fear, and a lot of other self development topics. I haven’t really touched on this topic all to much, but it does have a few things to do with having a clear vision.

When you have a clear vision of what your future is going to be, you can overcome the obstacles and overcome your fears. But what is your true purpose here on this earth?

Is it your purpose to struggle to pay the bills every month? Is it your purpose to have a marriage filled with angst and arguments? Is it your purpose to stay at that stressful, underpaying job? I highly doubt it.

We desire to have a life filled with abundance. And I’m not talking about material things like cars and homes. When I say abundance I mean living a fulfilling life of purpose.

When I get a huge paycheck, sure, it feels good that I’m accomplishing something. However, that feeling is belittled by the feeling of accomplishment, the feeling of purpose, I have when someone else benefits from my hard work.

I spent hours collecting data and researching info for my products. Now, when someone purchases my training and mentorship products and services, puts that information to use, and gets amazing results I can’t help but feel a sense of purpose.

When I was knocked down to the ground by life’s obstacles, suffocating in debt, wondering how I was going to ever make it … someone reached out their hand to help me. And my life has never been the same. And now I have the ability to do that for others.

There is no greater joy in life than helping out our fellow man.

Remember that. Because if I’m signing a check and paying for a car in cash, it sure feels good, but signing the same check to charity feels far better.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I don’t give away EVERYTHING. People should still have to work and provide for themselves. But helping them along the way has been one of life’s great journeys for me.

I hope you ask yourself, “What is my purpose? How am I helping others to succeed? How can I pick someone else up off the ground today? Who will I meet today that I will change their life forever?” Find out your purpose and go do it!

Desire: to long for; crave; want. The feeling that accompanies an unsatisfied state.

These were just some of the definitions I found online. And I really like that last part: The feeling that accompanies an unsatisfied state.

I never really though of desire that way, but it’s true. If you desire living somewhere other than where you live right now, it’s because you’re unsatisfied with your current situation. If you want a new car, it’s probably because of a dislike for the one you drive now.

It’s interesting, though, how we hear so many people complain over these things and don’t do anything about it. They desire to have a different job, or to have more control over their time or their money. They have a desire to learn how to sing, or sew, or play a new sport. But they don’t do anything about it.

So when does desire become so great that one will overcome the struggles and obstacles, and break through to get what they desire?

It’s when opportunity, action, motivation, faith, knowledge, and discipline meet that we start to move forward. And when this progression starts, not all of these factors will be in motion. You may need to start reading a book to get the knowledge, and when you find out a piece of knowledge you have a mental breakthrough. When those sparks start going off in your brain, you might have the faith to start to take action. And as you take action, you see results and decide to discipline and motivate yourself to take those actions consistently to achieve the particular desire you wanted to begin with.

The combination can be in most any order, but all of them must be present to obtain a goal or desire. If you are given an opportunity, but have no faith it won’t work. If you have the faith and take action, but lack the discipline to keep going with things get tough, I’m sorry, but you won’t obtain your desires.

I hope you’re continuously working on yourself, growing yourself, to be the leader you need to become. Remain persistent and consistent, and achieve the goals you want to achieve.
