Attraction Marketing Secrets: How To Attract High-Quality Professionals To Your Business Team

I hate to break it to you, but there really is no ’secret’ when it comes to attraction marketing. It’s all about leading with VALUE. Yes, you want to share your story. Yes, you want to talk to people about your opportunity -otherwise they won’t know what company you’re promoting of course (haha).

But the most absolutely POWERFUL action you can take is to just share what you know.

The common misconception is that the info you need to share has to be so profound it knocks your prospect off their chair like a ONE-TWO punch from a heavyweight boxer. This is NOT the case, but I can see why people get that impression. One of the new teammates I mention in this video talks about how he purchased my Personal Branding Blueprint and THEN he saw me as a leader and joined my GRN team.

What you don’t know is that that the FIRST version of that course took me around 250 hours to put together, and several thousand dollars to produce. And now version 2.0 is out, 2.1 coming soon

But here’s the deal: that is totally NOT duplicatable for a new person! So how do you position yourself as a leader? You just TAKE ACTION and TEACH WHAT YOU KNOW!

Picture this: walk into a local stor and try to explain to the business owner how an autoresponder works. Explain that ‘back in the day’ businesses had to MAIL their advertisements and coupons and such to their prospective buyers. “Imagine paying for 10,000 letters getting mailed! At 35 cents each! That’s $3500 for just ONE marketing campaign! Now we can use an email marketing system to send those same messages right to our prospective customers! How much money would that save you!?”

Get them to guess. $1000/mo? $500/mo? How about it starts at $19/mo! HOLY CRAP! That’s amazing! And you can email them several times in a month for the SAME PRICE!? No way!!!

Something as simple and VITAL to our internet businesses as an ‘autoresponder’ is a concept that will blow most people away. So if you call that an “attraction marketing secret”, be my guest.

On a sidenote, too many people are under the impression that the recession is killing high ticket programs. I for one think this is total BS. *I’ve literally turned down my marketing budget right now* because I’ll be unveiling the new Revolution Profits system in the next week or so. But still I’m getting high-quality prospects that already have experience in network marketing AND internet marketing, they’re professional that have money, and they’re FLOCKING to my door, credit card in hand, ready to join Global Resorts Network.. which by the way pays $1,000 commissions AND overrides to their reps.

How?

Because my marketing that IS running is TARGETING those demographics! And THAT is an attraction marketing secret NO ONE is talking about right now. But you’ll have to get on the team to see THAT training

Nope, it’s not just some tip or strategy on how to build my list or something. This goes MUCH deeper than that. This is something that can be a total paradigm shift for many people if they truly grasp it. A total game-changer.

I’ve got a serious question that I want you to think
about.

It may sound like a silly hypothetical question but
it actually has huge implications about the way you
perceive the very IDEA and PROMISE of the entire
network marketing business model.

Here it is: If you won the powerball tomorrow (the current
jackpot is at $220 million) would you take it all in
one lump sum or would you take it in installments?

A lot of people opt for taking it in installments.

But from a BUSINESS standpoint, and where you and I
are really concerned, it’s ALWAYS better to have more
cash upfront than it is to wait.

If you took all the cash upfront you could turn around
and invest it into assets that have REAL value and
continue to appreciate.

You could also use it to grow a business faster by
putting it into advertising that generates more
customers, and training and development that equips
you with new skills.

And then there’s the “invisible tax” of inflation.

If you take the payments, who knows how much the
money is actually going to be worth in 5 years…
even 1 year from now after another gazillion dollars
are printed and pumped into the economy.

But MOST importantly…

Having more cash upfront opens new doors and
opportunities for you that may have never been
available otherwise.

These opportunities can in turn lead to a cascade
of more profits and even more opportunities, the
value of which is impossible to calculate.

Now you could say that when you’re talking about
$220 million it probably doesn’t matter.

But when it comes to your business, differences
in thinking and accounting like this do matter.

A lot.

I’d go as far as to say that putting a focus on
getting paid NOW versus getting paid LATER is one of
the single biggest deciding factors in the success
of every major guru you currently know today.

Okay, seriously sit back for a moment and relate this to your mlm business.

If I looked at my mlm business from many moons ago (like 6 years ago now) it looks almost archaic how we were “supposed” to make a bulk of our money. And especially in this economy, people aren’t looking to make decent money after 5 years. They NEED to make money NOW.

In my opinion, direct sales is a BIG part of why I work from home now. Yes, affiliate marketing and my own products play a big part as well. But if you notice one commonality of ALL of my main income streams: I get most of my profits NOW.

I’m not living on some promise that “one day” I’ll have a big downline and can “retire”.

1. The days of “downlines” are DEAD in my opinion.
2. “Retirement” is a FALSE IDOL.

This is something that I really never thought of challenging when I was growing up because it’s so accepted. “Retirement” was just something that you did after you worked for the same company for 40+ years. You put in your time, got your pension, cashed in your social security, and traveled the US in your Winnebago.

Well, nowadays most people don’t stay with a company for more than a few years, there’s no such thing as a pension, if you’re banking on your 401k you probably now realize that you have no real control over that either, and if you’re in my age group social security won’t be there… Not that I”d ever want to live on $1300/mo anyways…

If you haven’t picked up a copy of Timothy Ferris’ book “The 4 Hour Work Week”, I suggest checking out these posts on “mini-vacations” on his blog first. Read 5-10 posts and you’ll start to get the picture.

And as for the Winnebago, I’m making it a goal for myself to do just what one of my buddies balked at me for: I’m going to RV across the US with my wife and son (who will only be 1yrs old) next summer. Earlier if possible, but the definite goal will be June 1st of 2011 (1 year from today).

After I re-work my New Years resolutions and timeline of goals from the beginning of this year (got a bunch done, and crossed off a few that just don’t seem that important anymore) I may even move that date up to as early as January 3rd 2011 (my wife’s bday).

So, going back to the email from Ann: make as much money as you can NOW and take “mini-vacations”. Enjoy life as it happens instead of delaying it until you’re too old to really enjoy yourself.

Well, I haven’t posted on this blog in a while because I launched a new blog specific to a home based biz opp that I promote called Global Resorts Network.  Just click on that link to go to the blog…   The reason I’ve been working on it so hard is that I submitted it as my application for the SEO Networker Scholarship.  If you haven’t heard of this program, it’s about 2 former rocket scientists (no joke) turned network marketers who retired from their $80k+ per year jobs to build an online empire… and now they’re showing their students how to generate THOUSANDS of free leads for their businesses as well…

SEO Networker is about using the internet to generate as many leads as you want… not just for network marketing, but for ANY business…  Traffic turns into leads, leads into customers…  Well, its sounds easy… but they’re a LOT that goes into it…

After hearing about winning the SEO Networker Scholarship, my wife invited me into the kitchen to show me her test…  namely a pregnancy test… That was Friday, and this morning she went to the doctor and confirmed that we are having our first baby!

All of this going on, all while getting my wife’s family day care ready (good thing cuz we’ll be our own best customer – hehe), writing my second book (goal is to launch by summer), and marketing my business otherwise…

DAMN!  I LOVE BEING BUSY!  You just feel so productive and alive!  This is going to be a GREAT 2009!

After 5 years, he re-qualified Emerald and 2 years later he qualified Founders Emerald.  Another 2 years and he FINALLY qualified Diamond.  And not to demean what he did, but why are they still quoting 2-5 years until Diamond?  It’s TOTAL bullcrap.  Sorry.

And now they may be repeating history w/ the name changing BACK to Amway.  Good God…

So if a leader such as this person is, who KNOWS how to grow a big network marketing organization, takes 20 years or more togo Diamond – why are they still quoting 2-5 years until ‘freedom’?

The truth of the matter is, Amway/Quixtar’s North American business has slowed BIG TIME.  They’ve almost recovered back to where they were in the 1980’s, but they’re STILL not even there yet..

So, this brings us to the topic at hand…

Why has Amway/Quixtar’s business had virtually NO growth in the past 5 years or so?

1.) Bad reputation.  The company has had it’s fair share of lawsuits, but not even taking in to account problems with the company’s rep itself – the tools business is at the real heart of the problem.  When the leaders are making 2-5 times the money in the tools/motivation business than they are in the REAL mlm company they promote… is it their fault or the company’s?  Which brings me to my next point…

2.) Crappy comp plan.  This comp plan hasn’t been updated for the new millennium.   There’s no profit in the products, and they’re so overpriced they’re virtually impossible to market to retail customers (wth a few exceptions).  If it costs you $300 to get 100PV, and your check is $9 (3% of your BV), is it REALLY worth it??  And as a platinum you’re only talking about $2k per month.  And if you want to be more profitable, you need to be so WIDE (more personally sponsored reps on your ‘frontline’) it becomes a real pain in the butt to try and work DEPTH.  You have to get a few hundred active buyers/IBO’s in your business to really pull in any kind of profit.  (Some direct sales companies get you earning $2-5k in your first 1-3 months, rather than waiting 12+ months to go Q12 platinum at best…  Global Resorts Network anyone?!)

3.) Bad reputation.. ok, yea, I already mentioned it… but you’ve really got to understand this.  I showed the plan to COUNTLESS people.  Dozens of them did NOT get in SPECIFICALLY because the business was Amway.  Many loved the concept and really wanted to make more money, but the name carries such a negative connotation to people… it becomes a crapshoot for the IBO’s.

4.)  You’re paying for friends.  Ok, this is REALLY going to piss off any IBO that reads this.  Now, I did make some great friendships while w/ Quixtar.  But HOW the team I was apart of build their businesses was RAPING their downlines of their freakin’ dignity for God’s sake.  If you ‘want to be part of the club’, guess what?  You’re paying for tickets to every hotel meeting, seminar, cd’s, lit packs, etc..  If you ‘want to be a leader’, you’re now going to a diner after every event (which I’ll be the first to admit is pretty damn fun) but now you’re spending more money on food, etc…

Now, this is what REALLY pissed me off.  They would put together a “Qualifier”.  They’d put something together… like a party at the beach, or a pizza party at the upline Platinum’s house, or dodgeball or something else totally ridiculous…  And (get this) you needed to do 300 PV to QUALIFY to be there..  (150 PV for singles, 300 PV for couples) Yea, really. 300PV is about $800+ of product. Sometimes it was DOUBLE that!  (300 PV for singles, 600 PV for couples).  Now, if you were a ‘leader’ and you were doing 20 plans per month and growing your business to the next level.. you were EXPECTED to be there.  If you weren’t and someone in your group qualified, it looked bad on you.  Now, if you didn’t sell enough product to be there (which was often the case w/ overpriced products) what do you think most people did?  Yup.  Bought it themselves.

So, let’s get this straight…  Through ‘group psychology’ and peer pressure and other bs sales techniques…  SOO many people took $1000 out of their pocket PER MONTH so that they could go to these events.  So, in a way, they were PAYING for friendship.  THIS is why people got in and out of this business so fast (revolving door business).  THIS is why people had BOXES of product stacked in their garage.  THIS is why the company gets such a bad rep.

And this is how SO many people qualify for new pins…  It’s pretty sad.  You have maybe a dozen singles on your team do ‘double core volume’ (300 pv) and you’re basically a new 4000 pin.  You have a dozen couples on your team do ‘double core’ (600 pv) and you’re a new Silver pin.  The problem is, after a few months they quit because they realize they’re going bankrupt buying products they don’t need or want.

The next month that new silver or platinum starts off at NEGATIVE 1500 pv because of all the returns, and ends the month at 2500 pv.  But you know what?!  They’re STILL getting recognized as new silvers or platinums!  Their upline is STILL going to brag them up to the rest of their team.  They’re still going to edify the fact that they’re “growing a big business”.

So, after my long rant… how is Quixtar going to fix this?  Well, first they’re changing their name BACK to Amway (not such a good move).  They’re spending a bunch of money on national advertising (hmmm, okay?)  And they’re sponsoring athletes and celebrities for their different brands…  Will it work?  Who knows.  Good luck to them, but I’ll be making my network marketing income elsewhere..

What I’m saying here is this: if you’re NEW to internet marketing you can still join GRN, you can still market your business online, AND (more importantly) you can still make a boat load of money.

I’m just going to recommend using other systems than RFS…  Sure, RFS could make your phone calls and close sales for you.  SURE!  RFS has a great capture page and web copy that works…  But if you’re paying hundreds a month for RFS as a newbie and your “Internet Marketing Learning Curve” is several months… you’re going into the negative and not making any real money to cover your costs…

So, what now??  You get started as part of my Global Resorts Network team and then get access to ALL of my training materials/marketing systems…  Get up to speed ASAP, and when you’ve got a few sales under your belt… THEN you can start tearing things up w/ RFS.  Make sense?  Now go kick some ass!
