Why LockYourSpot.com and LiveSmart 360 Will Fail You
ByOkay LiveSmart 360 reps – before you go and grab your bats and barbed wire – this is NOT an attack on your company. And for those of you that found this site because you were researching LockYourSpot.com – I’ll do my best to give you a fair representation, but understand this is MY opinion. You’re free to leave yours in the comments
Okay, so here’s the deal and why I’ve got a little chip on my shoulder about this “new company launch”.
Why Most Will Fail With The LockYourSpot Opportunity
Yes, I love the network marketing industry. It’s given me the opportunity to be a stay-at-home dad, pay off a bunch of debt, and start living my life on MY terms. But one of the BIG downsides to mlm is how some companies and/or mlm teams feel that they need to really HYPE people up on their business in order to sponsor them.
What I mean is this: when I first came across the site, I looked high and low for a detailed comp plan. Sure there’s a BMW bonus and ‘million dollar match’ bonus, but what the heck do you make day one??? I understand that it’s a binary compensation plan (2 teams, a “left leg” and a “right leg”), but the website is kinda vague as per the payouts. It says that for every 240 on the larger leg and 120 on the smaller leg (360 total – cute, it fits the company name… hehe) it will pay out $20.
So if I’ve got a business that’s got 36,000 (24,000 in one leg, and 12,000 in the other) I’m making a whopping $2k?? Seriously?
No offense, but mlm comp plans SUCK. ( :: me dodging the thrown tomatoes and garbage :: )
I did NOT write this post with the intention of doing a “my company is better than yours” but I can produce $6k in business with my company and make $2k. It’s called GPT, not MLM. (Don’t get too ticked off when you read this report btw…)
Just go to that above report and that will save me from ranting about low paying mlm comp plans on this blog – thanks!
But, seriously – if most of the site is “Look at our lifestyle! Aren’t we cool? Isn’t this the best mlm ever!?”… RUN. Anyone can sell lifestyle – especially if they already had a big mlm organization that was made YEARS before this launch, but I’ll get to that in a few moments.
Okay, moving on…
Big Red Flag: “Secure Your Spot”
Having different options to get started at different levels is a GOOD IDEA. This allows the more serious (and well funded) entrepreneurs to get started at a higher level and it allows the reps that sponsor them to make more money as well. Good.
Then you’ve got more affordable options for those on a budget. Also good.
But then they throw in the “Secure Your Spot For Only $29.99″. Are you kidding me?
Just follow me here for a second. When Mercedes charges $50k for a car, they are going to attract a certain kind of customer… a high end one.
Just like Starbucks attracts a certain clientele, or Armani attracts a certain clientele… so does Walmart and so does McDonalds.
The kind of person you attract when you offer a “lock your spot” position is NOT GOOD. It’s the lazy, non-committed, broke, skeptics that won’t make a stinking DIME when they get started anyway. But what good does this do? It makes the main company another $29.99 per rep for NOTHING. You get a username for that fee, that’s IT.
Okay, they’re going to say… “well, you get a website”.. or something along those lines to defend the cost. Well, I’m sorry to tell you that web hosting is around $10/mo… and that goes for unlimited DOMAIN NAMES. I’ve got 2 different hosting accounts and about 80 domain names registered, all spread between 6 different servers. And I’m only at $45/mo for ALL of that.
Coming from a semi-computer-nerd, HOSTING IS CHEAP!
Unfortunately mlm companies like to do this so they can make money from their replicated websites, in addition to their products. Not a big deal, but for $49/mo you could get a totally customizable site through the 7 Figure Networker program. It will be more personalized to YOU, brand YOU to your prospect, and also allow you to use your own autoresponder.
(Don’t want to get into it right now, but you absolutely NEED to build a list of prospects and potential clients. It is a long term asset that will pay you over and over again, even if no one gets on your team. I just can’t imagine building a business anymore without one..)
So, back to the point at hand: don’t fall for a “get in on the ground level, new mlm prelaunch opportunity” crap. I get pitched at least once per week on some “new deal”.
Which leads me to my next point:
Don’t Call It The Biggest New Company Launch If It’s Not ‘Really’ A New Company
If you’re not familiar with Cyberwize, don’t worry about it – I’m not either. But what I did notice was that the CEO of Cyberwize – Mark McCool – is also the CEO of LiveSmart 360. Hmmm..
I had heard about Cyberwize before, so I went to cyberwize.com to do some research about it and guess what? It redirected me to Lock Your Spot .com!
Hmmm.. So much for “new opportunity”, huh Mark?
Now – before I let the cat outta the bag on this one, I understand where Mark is coming from here!
- In order to have a long-term mlm company, you need to have new products coming out to keep people excited about the “new stuff” coming out in their business.
- If you want to get alot of prelaunch buzz (aka HYPE), you use new websites and new names for old products – typically…
But in this case Mark decided to go “Quixtar” on us…
Back in 1999, Amway got sick and tired of the dark cloud of controversy following them around all the time. Sure, their international business has been pretty booming, but their domestic business here in North America has been stagnant for YEARS.
They wanted to come up with a new concept, rebrand themselves, and start anew.
Quixtar was born. They changed the name, moved to an “internet sales portal” model, and transferred all of the Amway reps to Quixtar IBOs.
Then, around 10 years after the switch they SWITCHED BACK TO AMWAY. (Actually Amway Global, but it’s all the same to me..)
Why? It didn’t really help business at all. In fact, my old upline had a pretty decent sized organization – several hundred people in 5 platinum and up organizations. He was very close to hitting the Diamond level. Then they switched to Quixtar, his entire group quit, and he started again brand new after being in the business for 12 years. (Crap, huh!?) Don’t worry, he’s doing pretty well for himself now regardless. Took him another 10 years, but he finally went Diamond.
P
So, to get back to the point here…
==> When I started in “Quixtar”, they had a really good pitch about the growth of the company. I’m an engineer by degree, a salesperson and trainer by trade, and a marketer by occupation.. so I love facts and figures.
My upline had told me about how there’s only been 2 companies to do $500+ Million their first year online. #1 was Amazon.com (now a huge *bleeping* company) and #2 Quixtar.com. They had used the credibility of Amazon to say that when they experience the same growth that Amazon.com had, WE will be able to share in the profits.
I liked the idea of that.
They just left out one small tidbit of information: that although it was Quixtar’s first year in business, most every Amway rep that wanted to continue pursuing a business with the company just switched their business over.
They essentially took their entire sales organization from one company to another company, both under the same umbrella.
So what am I getting at here?
Don’t bring over 110,000 reps from one company to another and call it the “biggest and most successful mlm company pre-launch in history”. Give me a freakin’ break!
If the tv network ABC changed their name tomorrow to XYZ, what would you say if people were like “Wow! XYZ just went from zero to a bagillion dollars overnight! That company’s on the move, so buy your stock now and double your money by next week!”
C’mon, what would you say to that? Obviously the company’s NOT on the move. The just changed their name and just because the “new” stock went from 0 to $27 per share, doesn’t mean it’ll be $54 next week.
==> It’s the same thing w/ an mlm opportunity guys!
Now, again, don’t get me wrong here! LiveSmart 360 could very well be a fantastic opportunity and have the most cutting edge products available in the industry. But think hard to yourself if you’re just hyped up on the fact it’s “NEW” or “the comp plan’s the greatest thing in the world” or whatever kind of “fluff” you’ve been hearing… or if you genuinely are in love with the company, the products, and your team.
Either way…
No MLM Business Will Grow Without Leads
If you’ve been in the industry for more than a month, chances are you’ve gone through your entire ‘warm list’ of your family and friends. You understand that if you’re not consistently building your own prospect list, your business will come to a screeching halt.
So, no matter if you’re promoting Live Smart 360 or any other mlm business, I *highly* suggest that you checkout the training I put together for you below. It will show you how I create between 10-35 leads on a DAILY BASIS for my business on total autopilot.. Fill out the form below!

Sir,
Even though you seem convincing, all one needs to do is a bit of research to set your “facts” straight. For 29.99, you get VIP club services that allow you to have travel, car rental, and other services with a concierge and at the lowest rate gauranteed. You also get to buy the 360 products at whole sale which is an average of 12-20 percent off. You also get the chance to profit share on ALL other customer orders after You for the rest of the company.
About CYberwize, if you knew the whole scoop, which you clearly do not, then you would understand that Mark McCool formerly ran, sold, and then rebought CyberWize. I do not need to go into details as to why this happened. CyberWize had the infrastructure and a few solid products but was headed downhill after McCool sold it the first time. There were more like 2,000 reps in CyberWize, not 110,000…so over 99 percent of those on Lock YOUr SPOt are not from Cyberwize.
This company is not built on hype but on a strong pay plan, strong, proven leadership, and a product line that will FOREVER REVOLUTIONZE the health and wellness industry. Research Dr. Shawn Mueller and you will see that our products do not have competition. My team is successful in 3 days and will continue to do so because we do not bash, but study facts and communicate clearly. If you want to join it, please contact me.
PS. The math you did on the compensation pay out of 2,000 would have been a weekly check, not a monthly check…plus, that is one of ten ways in which you receive pay. I promise you sir, if you gave this a solid hour of research, and studied the people who have left other SUCCESSFUl companies to come on board…you know this is not hype, but hope.
I hope my post comes off as peaceful because I am just trying to provide some facts from someone who is connected to the top level of leadership.

Hey Adam,
That was a tremendous article about LiveSmart360, but you are missing out on the big Picture. During the Pre-launch, the leaders made a bold statement about this company.
They said: “This is going to be the Last Network Marketing company you will ever join.” I don’t know about you my friend, but i made the decision to join them, just because of the way they market this business. If you go on Alexa, you will see the traffics. Facts tell stories.
A Few things that you forgot to cover:
1-No need to generate ton of leads for this business, everyone is required to personally sponsored 8 people in their business.(It’s entirely up to you to get more people…)
2-Million Dollar Match Bonus. Every person that you sponsor is worth half a million dollar, whether they pass you up or not…
3- Car Bonus, when you qualify for that bonus. The company will give you a $2,000 dollars as a down payment, and $400 for the first month.
Now, joining the company doesn’t mean anything, you have to work it, just because it’s a Business, and it’s worth to build it whatsoever.
What the heck do you make Day One????? Well, that’s a great question. When you join a system, if you don’t advertise it, you will waste all your money….
Keep in mind, as a FREE Member with 360, you will get paid on the activities of your Smartline/downline.
If you want more details on 360, please visit my website.
P.S Downplay a company with your own opinion is not a good way to go. I hope you leave my comment for other to see…
Which you Good Luck in your reverse marketing!!!!

@Concerned (why not use a real name, but thats besides the point)..
$29.99 to get ‘VIP club’? Or wholesale on 360 products? A “wholesale” mlm product typically is still more expensive than a retail product – but whatever. For the sake of argument, let’s say I agree w/ you 100% on that stuff.
The point was I DID research this, but there’s no full comp plan details on the website, no ‘you make $XX on this product package’, or anything.. Even the fact that the checks are weekly and not monthly is good info to have, but I’m not going to sit on a 90 mins “sales pitch” conference call or go to a hotel meeting to see the “full comp plan”.
MLM Companies really NEED to have FULL DISCLOSURE. That’s all I’m saying. They need to have a clear picture of ALL of those streams of income.
As far as ‘revolutionizing the industry’.. There’s a new mlm company launch pretty much every month. And especially being an online mlm trainer (I’m not anyone ’special’) I get contacted 24/7 about “the next big thing”.
And when I hear “the last mlm company I’ll join” – and I’ve heard it several times before – it’s coming out of the mouths of people that have joined 5-10 different companies.. And after the hype dies, they’ll do it again and again.
Whatever your real name is though, THANK YOU for trying to set the record straight and giving everyone a bigger piece of the puzzle.
All the best,
Adam Holland

@Jacklin – (oops I put the comment about ‘last mlm company i’ll even join’ in the above reply.. so see that..)
Also, Alexa means absolutely CRAP. It means they’re getting traffic NOW. Look at the Alexa for the Reverse Funnel System, TVI Express, Blastoff Network, or any other BIG launch from the last few years. BIG TRAFFIC and then ‘death’.
As far as your bullet points:
1 – this pretty much confirms the fact that the business will slow down and FAST. They’re instilling in you that you don’t need to generate leads and that you “only need 8 people”. HORSE SHIT. Every mlm company grows with MOMENTUM, not ’stop and go’ minimalistic tactics. Like I said, these kind of teachings along w/ the hype just attracts broke, lazy people.
2 – “every person you sponsor is worth a half million dollars”… my question is “when”? This is obviously only possible when there’s been at least $500k in business produced even if it was 100% profit. And when you look at typical mlm facts, not only does the avg rep never do that.. the avg rep never sponsors ONE SINGLE PERSON. So, sure this bonus is probably pretty cool, but this early in the game for everyone it’s just a wish.
3 – cool, thanks for the clarification on the car bonus.
Thanks for your comments and your further clarification of this company.
All the best,
Adam Holland

Hey Adam,
Thanks for your reply buddy. I tell you what, I am not sure about your intention to write this article, but you wrote it for many reasons. And this is why most people do reviews on their blogs, just to get traffics.
Let’s go back to 360 my friend. You said that you can’t find any information on the comp. Plan.
Here’s the link:
http://www.livesmart360.com/masterContent/documents/liveSmartCompPlan.pdf
You can download it, educate yourself, and you will have more information to write a much better article.
Wish you good Luck!!
Oops! I forgot to answer you about the 8 people.
Listen, 99% of network marketers out there don’t even know how to sell nor market their business opportunity. With LiveSmart360, they will have the opportunity to talk to at least 80 people a month, just to get 1 distributor.
Hold on!! Wait!! Wait!! 80 people a month??? No, I was just kidding!! Even if you are a newbie in Network Marketing, if you decide to introduce that business to 80 people, you will have at least 8 distributors.
Now, you do the Math buddy!!!
Get the Fact here:
I started marketing this business 3 weeks ago. I personally sponsored close to 40 people, and have 139K people in my downline. My mentor has sponsored close to 200 people. Woaw! We are in this business to help the average people out there, not the Pretty Boys Gurus…
Hope this helps the audience!!!
P.S I’m not going to invite you in my business, but you deserve to align yourself where people are truly determined to help others…No gimmicks! No tricks!!

Adam,
One of the best post I have read in a while. I normally don’t even bother reading longer post but you had me hooked the entire time. Well done my friend, well done.
keep Charging and providing high quality content.
May 25th, 2010 at 11:27 pm
@Jesse – haha, thanks man.
I usually don’t read long blog posts too.. But I think I wrote this around 2am because I didn’t want to go to bed. I came across the site, started looking around, and kinda got frustrated because I couldn’t find any real details on the company. (I didn’t consider 2 bonuses in the comp plan ‘real details’..)
Keep it rockin’!

Great article and replies. Shed’s a lot of light

any hard facts or RESULTS.

Hi, Adam- Appreciate your exposure for LiveSmart 360. You take the good with the bad. Admittedly, some of the Comp Plan was not available until after Pre-launch. You were working with the information you had at the time you wrote this. You may find my
Blog review valuable in this string of debate. It is the
LiveSmart 360 in a Nutshell with visual guides.
All my best to each and every one of the business builders participating in this discussion- Mary (=
May 29th, 2010 at 8:01 am
Yep, Mary is correct here, he only worked with what was available at the time. I too think there really was not much to go on at first but atleast now there is alot more info out there.
May 29th, 2010 at 11:09 am
@Mary – yea, that was kinda my point. (one of them at least).
It’s like, “So you mean to tell me 100,000+ signed up for a company in pre-launch and didn’t even know how they were going to get paid!?!?”
Hopefully they’ll continue to update their site with more specific (and easily findable) info. (I can’t say I’ve checked back since this post was written, but hopefully it’s a little more detailed now).
Adam
June 6th, 2010 at 3:29 am
Yes the information was not out there but the comp plan is now out on the web site. This is not my firs MLM company and we were only required to have 12 people in our downline and I make grand money from the company and it grows every month. I don’t think that is smart to post information on a company when you don’t have all the facts. Maybe the business you are in the wrong one.
June 6th, 2010 at 2:11 pm
@Theresa – read the comments under the article.
The whole point here is that “120k people” or however many it was joined an opportunity – and it sounds like the full comp plan wasn’t even revealed at that point yet.
That’s like accepting a job offer without knowing your starting salary.
This post wasn’t meant to be “my company vs. your company” or anything like that. But if you’re trying to impress me w/ 12 people to get a ‘grand a month’, I make a $1k for every person I sponsor and get $1k override commissions as well.
This post wasn’t put to put down the 360 comp plan. It was to question why the heck you’d join an opportunity WITHOUT knowing the facts.
(Seems kinda hypocritical: I’m not able to write a blog post ‘without all the facts’ but all these people will join an opportunity ‘without all the facts’.)
Remember that this post was written May 18th (at about 1am.. haha), so it’s based on the knowledge I had then.

Thanks for this article is very perceptive and correct on so many levels. For those that don’t know the past of Mark & Jeanine McCool and Cyberwize trust in the fact there is a reason that this new company was started. Some for the right reasons many just to get rid of old debt and many lawsuits that they were facing. After doing business with the McCools for years I hope new individuals to this company do your homework and please do not put your families financial future in jeopardy. I love this industry and have made a career out of it but it saddens my heart when people are duped and hurt with companies such as this.
June 28th, 2010 at 1:11 pm
Well, I signed up, paid over 1K for my membership and it took over a month to get my starter pack. And to make matters worse, I didn’t get the products that were promised (advertised) and some items were missing. So, it took over a month before I could actually see and touch the product. When is anybody besides the top people going to get paid? Why do they keep postsponing it but at the same time taking more money from us for OAP? I feel very cheated and stupid because I put faith into a guote “ground floor company” that is so complicated to understand the comp. plan. Now, I have product that I’m afraid to use much less convince someone else to buy into the buzz (aka HYPE).
WHY SO MUCH DISHONESTY?
July 2nd, 2010 at 8:12 pm
More truth about 360.com. I was with Cyberwize for 3 years and a long three years at that! I am with 360 because I use the products. I am disappointed with this new deal livesmart360. The OAP program is criminal at bare minimum and just may need a federal or consumer protection agency to step in and well, rip corporate a 360 new one! Here’s why: To be a member buying the smart system at 14.99/mo is required per customer service today even if you don’t want it. Once you buy this system you are not able to cancel, their online store does not allow you to. So, you are stuck, no refunds period. Sign up for an OAP program the same applies only these programs don’t allow you to choose the products and they are quite pricey. They choose the products for you. Even worse, try to get a refund. You basically have to threaten somebody just to get their attention. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. The cyberwize website disappeared before you had a chance to document the amount of bv that was left over, the bv didn’t reappear for weeks on their new site, and then you are short a few thousand or so. When asking for the co to return it it is at their discretion as to whether or not they want to give it back. Hey! Didn’t we earn the right to keep bv by buying a monthly autoship? And folks, just so you now, Mark Mc Cool had the weak side of the bv to flush. Gee, was that so they didn’t have to pay out commissions or was it to just p***off some people who just won’t take their crapola anymore. And speaking of commissions, why haven’t we received that cool debit card they use to pay out with? Guess they got lost or delayed being shipped because they are grossly understaffed.Try sitting on the phone for 30 minutes just to straighten out the multitude of errors they have made and then wait a month just to get your order. By the time you get it your creditcard is being billed for the next shipment which will be sent out by camel or snail delivery. Doesn’t it seem odd that all the BIG checks were earned by all smartline people? Take note not one Cyberwize member received a half a red cent. In fact, the top earner the Williams’ in Kentucky just so happen to be Mike Patillo’s in-laws. Gosh! How did ya manage to pull that one off Mike? It just so happens that I am Cyberwize and I didn’t see one single bv during this sign up of 160,000 new ding-dongs that were in this major rush to lock your spot and spend their hard earned cash. Yet, everybody is required to buy, buy, buy when they sign up. Then there are the claims that their products create miracles, according to one world re-nowned ND who’ll dope ya up on supps that are completely unnecessary and zero out your checkbook balance to boot. Never mind the fact that she will take a testimony and twist it around to create her own income at the sheer graciousness of an unsuspecting customer who gets nothing in return. Sounds like an FDA complaint is in order. This company is nothing but a bunch of crooks. I guess a good old-fashioned 360 degree complaint is in order. Thanks Mark and Jeanine for your incessant prayers to God to help this company and make everybody’s dream come true. So go ahead LOCKYOURSPOT IF YOU DARE AND CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS AT YOUR OWN RISK!~ And by the way, I’m a Dr.
July 4th, 2010 at 2:26 pm
Geeeeeezzz, is there any MLM company that one can put there faith in? I don’t know who to believe and there is always something to be said negatively about everything. They spoke badly my Jesus and I know He’s real.
July 10th, 2010 at 5:06 pm
Well the truth of 360 is they are crooks, they don’t answer there phone.there comp plan is unreal they go on and on about nothing, even if you do sign-up 8 people your not going to make any money if they don’t buy anything so even if you have 3000 people in your down line that does not matter if none of them buy anything big deal, you people can keep paying but at the end you have bunch of product setting in your house(if you even get the product),and you have not made a dime. keep praying and hope that your going to make money mybe in about 2030.
September 1st, 2010 at 12:15 pm
Livesmart360 is the worst thing that happens to network marketing. I dont know why doctor Desilvia get involved in such a company. I hope it wont damage his reputation.
