Why LockYourSpot.com and LiveSmart 360 Will Fail You
Posted by: | CommentsOkay LiveSmart 360 reps – before you go and grab your bats and barbed wire – this is NOT an attack on your company. And for those of you that found this site because you were researching LockYourSpot.com – I’ll do my best to give you a fair representation, but understand this is MY opinion. You’re free to leave yours in the comments
Okay, so here’s the deal and why I’ve got a little chip on my shoulder about this “new company launch”.
Why Most Will Fail With The LockYourSpot Opportunity
Yes, I love the network marketing industry. It’s given me the opportunity to be a stay-at-home dad, pay off a bunch of debt, and start living my life on MY terms. But one of the BIG downsides to mlm is how some companies and/or mlm teams feel that they need to really HYPE people up on their business in order to sponsor them.
What I mean is this: when I first came across the site, I looked high and low for a detailed comp plan. Sure there’s a BMW bonus and ‘million dollar match’ bonus, but what the heck do you make day one??? I understand that it’s a binary compensation plan (2 teams, a “left leg” and a “right leg”), but the website is kinda vague as per the payouts. It says that for every 240 on the larger leg and 120 on the smaller leg (360 total – cute, it fits the company name… hehe) it will pay out $20.
So if I’ve got a business that’s got 36,000 (24,000 in one leg, and 12,000 in the other) I’m making a whopping $2k?? Seriously?
No offense, but mlm comp plans SUCK. ( :: me dodging the thrown tomatoes and garbage :: )
I did NOT write this post with the intention of doing a “my company is better than yours” but I can produce $6k in business with my company and make $2k. It’s called GPT, not MLM. (Don’t get too ticked off when you read this report btw…)
Just go to that above report and that will save me from ranting about low paying mlm comp plans on this blog – thanks!
But, seriously – if most of the site is “Look at our lifestyle! Aren’t we cool? Isn’t this the best mlm ever!?”… RUN. Anyone can sell lifestyle – especially if they already had a big mlm organization that was made YEARS before this launch, but I’ll get to that in a few moments.
Okay, moving on…
Big Red Flag: “Secure Your Spot”
Having different options to get started at different levels is a GOOD IDEA. This allows the more serious (and well funded) entrepreneurs to get started at a higher level and it allows the reps that sponsor them to make more money as well. Good.
Then you’ve got more affordable options for those on a budget. Also good.
But then they throw in the “Secure Your Spot For Only $29.99″. Are you kidding me?
Just follow me here for a second. When Mercedes charges $50k for a car, they are going to attract a certain kind of customer… a high end one.
Just like Starbucks attracts a certain clientele, or Armani attracts a certain clientele… so does Walmart and so does McDonalds.
The kind of person you attract when you offer a “lock your spot” position is NOT GOOD. It’s the lazy, non-committed, broke, skeptics that won’t make a stinking DIME when they get started anyway. But what good does this do? It makes the main company another $29.99 per rep for NOTHING. You get a username for that fee, that’s IT.
Okay, they’re going to say… “well, you get a website”.. or something along those lines to defend the cost. Well, I’m sorry to tell you that web hosting is around $10/mo… and that goes for unlimited DOMAIN NAMES. I’ve got 2 different hosting accounts and about 80 domain names registered, all spread between 6 different servers. And I’m only at $45/mo for ALL of that.
Coming from a semi-computer-nerd, HOSTING IS CHEAP!
Unfortunately mlm companies like to do this so they can make money from their replicated websites, in addition to their products. Not a big deal, but for $49/mo you could get a totally customizable site through the 7 Figure Networker program. It will be more personalized to YOU, brand YOU to your prospect, and also allow you to use your own autoresponder.
(Don’t want to get into it right now, but you absolutely NEED to build a list of prospects and potential clients. It is a long term asset that will pay you over and over again, even if no one gets on your team. I just can’t imagine building a business anymore without one..)
So, back to the point at hand: don’t fall for a “get in on the ground level, new mlm prelaunch opportunity” crap. I get pitched at least once per week on some “new deal”.
Which leads me to my next point:
Don’t Call It The Biggest New Company Launch If It’s Not ‘Really’ A New Company
If you’re not familiar with Cyberwize, don’t worry about it – I’m not either. But what I did notice was that the CEO of Cyberwize – Mark McCool – is also the CEO of LiveSmart 360. Hmmm..
I had heard about Cyberwize before, so I went to cyberwize.com to do some research about it and guess what? It redirected me to Lock Your Spot .com!
Hmmm.. So much for “new opportunity”, huh Mark?
Now – before I let the cat outta the bag on this one, I understand where Mark is coming from here!
- In order to have a long-term mlm company, you need to have new products coming out to keep people excited about the “new stuff” coming out in their business.
- If you want to get alot of prelaunch buzz (aka HYPE), you use new websites and new names for old products – typically…
But in this case Mark decided to go “Quixtar” on us…
Back in 1999, Amway got sick and tired of the dark cloud of controversy following them around all the time. Sure, their international business has been pretty booming, but their domestic business here in North America has been stagnant for YEARS.
They wanted to come up with a new concept, rebrand themselves, and start anew.
Quixtar was born. They changed the name, moved to an “internet sales portal” model, and transferred all of the Amway reps to Quixtar IBOs.
Then, around 10 years after the switch they SWITCHED BACK TO AMWAY. (Actually Amway Global, but it’s all the same to me..)
Why? It didn’t really help business at all. In fact, my old upline had a pretty decent sized organization – several hundred people in 5 platinum and up organizations. He was very close to hitting the Diamond level. Then they switched to Quixtar, his entire group quit, and he started again brand new after being in the business for 12 years. (Crap, huh!?) Don’t worry, he’s doing pretty well for himself now regardless. Took him another 10 years, but he finally went Diamond.
P
So, to get back to the point here…
==> When I started in “Quixtar”, they had a really good pitch about the growth of the company. I’m an engineer by degree, a salesperson and trainer by trade, and a marketer by occupation.. so I love facts and figures.
My upline had told me about how there’s only been 2 companies to do $500+ Million their first year online. #1 was Amazon.com (now a huge *bleeping* company) and #2 Quixtar.com. They had used the credibility of Amazon to say that when they experience the same growth that Amazon.com had, WE will be able to share in the profits.
I liked the idea of that.
They just left out one small tidbit of information: that although it was Quixtar’s first year in business, most every Amway rep that wanted to continue pursuing a business with the company just switched their business over.
They essentially took their entire sales organization from one company to another company, both under the same umbrella.
So what am I getting at here?
Don’t bring over 110,000 reps from one company to another and call it the “biggest and most successful mlm company pre-launch in history”. Give me a freakin’ break!
If the tv network ABC changed their name tomorrow to XYZ, what would you say if people were like “Wow! XYZ just went from zero to a bagillion dollars overnight! That company’s on the move, so buy your stock now and double your money by next week!”
C’mon, what would you say to that? Obviously the company’s NOT on the move. The just changed their name and just because the “new” stock went from 0 to $27 per share, doesn’t mean it’ll be $54 next week.
==> It’s the same thing w/ an mlm opportunity guys!
Now, again, don’t get me wrong here! LiveSmart 360 could very well be a fantastic opportunity and have the most cutting edge products available in the industry. But think hard to yourself if you’re just hyped up on the fact it’s “NEW” or “the comp plan’s the greatest thing in the world” or whatever kind of “fluff” you’ve been hearing… or if you genuinely are in love with the company, the products, and your team.
Either way…
No MLM Business Will Grow Without Leads

MLM Launch Formula Bonus – Jonathan Budd and Mark Hoverson Have Done It Again!
Posted by: | CommentsJust got word that the guys are at it again. Jonathan Budd and Mark Hoverson will announce to the world in the next week or so their next mastermind project: MLM Launch Formula.
What is it about? What is an MLM Launch? And why do we need a FORMULA?!?!
First all of, you absolutely need to understand that this does NOT necessarily mean you can only use these tactics for the launch of a new company. Of course you CAN, but I hope that if you’re reading this you’re not planning on jumping from company to company every 6 months to make a living. Sure, you might be able to rack up a pretty penny in a short period of time, but you will NEVER build a long-term income being an ‘mlm company nomad’..
That being said, ONE of the goals here is to be able to use the MLM LAUNCH FORMULA to perpetually ‘relaunch’ your mlm to your list and have a windfall of results over and over again. This has several benefits:
- You can have the same mlm company LONG TERM and build your income without having to start over every 6 months because the “hype” of a new opportunity ran out.
- You can have an explosion of profits every time that you launch and can leverage that influx of profits to scale your marketing even BIGGER!
- You have a MASSIVE group -this could be 5 people or 50 people or MORE – all starting at the SAME TIME.
Now, STOP and THINK for just a moment about that last phrase.
When you use the MLM Launch Formula properly, you will have a large group of people all starting at the SAME point in their business.
Back in my old school mlm days you’d have to trickle in 2-4 new reps personally per month if you were lucky. Even with newer online mlm techniques you might be able to sponsor 10 per month… But chances are it’s sporadic. Someone gets started today, another couple in 2 weeks, and then 6 at the end of the month. Now you’ve got 10 people that you’ve got to train who are all starting at different times.
Sure, this is a BIG reason why automation is so powerful… But in order to have a really successful team people still need direction through one-on-one coaching. And when you’ve got 10 people per month coming into your business all at different times, and you start doing that for a few months or a few years, it becomes chaos.
That being said, there’s 2 parts of the MLM Launch Formula that are VITAL about the formula – that aren’t even IN the formula: what happens BEFORE the launch, and what happens AFTER the launch. And I have a very specific strategy when it comes to BOTH.
So I decided I’ll offer up several sweet bonuses ONLY for those that get this product through my affiliate link.
Bonuses will include:
- 4 Part FREE TRAFFIC Video Series – my covert techniques to steal free traffic from Google – $297 value
